What qualifications do I need to apply for an international health postgraduate course?

  • Applicants must have a bachelor degree or equivalent and relevant work experience for entry to the Graduate Certificate, Postgraduate Diploma and Masters (Hospital-trained nurses may be eligible for entry to the Graduate Certificate).
  • Go to CIH Entrance Requirements webpage

When is the deadline for applications?

  • All courses are available for first and second semester entry.
  • Applications for first semester must be received by January 31 and applications for second semester by June 30. Applications can be accepted anytime before these deadlines.

What do I include in my application?

  • All applicants must include relevant application forms, current curriculum vitae, certified copies of all academic qualification/s (*see below) and a 250 word statement of interest in international health. Other documentation may be required. Please check the CIH Application Forms and Guidelines webpage for detailed information on the requirements, based on your application category.

* Please note:

  • Ensure that all copies of original qualification/s included in your application (ie - certificates and transcripts) have been certified by a Justice of the Peace, Commissioner for Declarations or the Issuing Authority.

When do the international health courses run?

  • All international health courses follow the University semester format below:
    • Semester 1 2008 - 25 February to 30 May
    • Semester 2 2008 - 28 July to 31 October

How are the courses run?

  • All Centre for International Health postgraduate courses can be undertaken entirely by distance education. This negates the need for interstate or overseas students to relocate to Perth to study.
  • International students can choose to study on-shore (internally), however full-time study must be undertaken. Due to the advantages of distance eduation, only a small proportion of our students study on-shore.
  • Internal study is not available for Australian students.
  • Go to the CIH Distance Education webpage
